Rent and Deposit Payments

ELECTRONIC RENT PAYMENT

To pay rent, contact your bank and set up BILL PAY. Your bank will automatically prepare your rent payment check and mail it for free. If you have any questions about it, the banks all have online or telephone assistance. It is easy, free, and guarantees your rent payment will be delivered on time.

Payment of the check must be delivered and recieved on or by the 1st of each month. We recommend you tell your banks to mail out the check on the 25th or earlier to ensure there is time between processing, delivery, and, in case the 25th happens to fall on a weekend. Bill Pay checks recived will not be cashed until the 1st of each month.

Be sure to include each resident's Elmwood ID number to the memo blank. Your Elmwood ID is in the folder you received when you checked in.

Remember, one check for the total rent payment each month. We strongly recommend you set up one joint checking account for all residents living together for the duration of the lease for payment of rent, electricity, gas, any other shared apartment living expenses.

RESIDENTS PAYING BY CHECK OR MONEY ORDER

Complete rent coupon form for the corresponding month with each current resident's name. Make one check per apartment for the full amount of rent payable to: Elmwood Properties. Deliver rent coupon and check no later than the 1st of each month to the mailbox at:

Deposit is $500 per person, payable to Elmwood Properties - Deposits. Write building and apt number in the memo blank.
